Nestled right in the heart of Ashland, Oregon’s downtown plaza, Ashland Mountain Supply is the store for your outdoor needs, local outdoor advice and a chance encounter with a rare folk, the fabled “thru-hiker.” Ashland is one of the only stops along the Pacific Crest Train in this area that offers hikers a chance to stock up on supplies and repair gear. Mountain supply stocks the odds and ends these folks my need on their journey like spare buckles, water bottles, replacement water filter components and backpacking food.
If you are not one of these grizzly, determined people, Mountain Supply has something for you too. In addition to tents, sleeping bags, performance outerwear and the like, you can always grab a Nalgene in between plays, or peruse their selection of Suncloud sunglasses, a sister company of SMITH optics. The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable and are more than willing to answer any questions, so stop in and say “hi” next time you are in the plaza.
