on the Upper Klamath, Lower Klamath, and Rogue Rivers.
Whitewater rafting and kayaking are our passion! Kokopelli River Guides, located in beautiful Ashland, Oregon, outfits half day to 5 day river rafting and inflatable kayaking adventures on Southern Oregon’s Rogue River, Upper Klamath River and Northern California’s Lower Klamath River. We offer trips that are perfect scenic floats for families with young children to trips that will challenge and excite the most adventurous rafters.
The Upper Klamath is our most popular full day whitewater trip. The UK is known as the premiere Class 3-4+ summer whitewater rafting destination on the West Coast. Because of scheduled dam releases, the river has consistent flows throughout the summer months providing rafters with plenty of thrills. The first few miles of the trip are a perfect way to warm up before entering Hell’s Corner canyon. This is where the big stuff begins! With rapids with fearsome names like Caldera, Satan’s Gate, and Hell’s Corner, the Upper Klamath will challenge even the most seasoned rafters!
Our UK trip includes all required rafting gear and our experienced guides are professional and love guiding. We offer a continental breakfast and scrumptious riverside lunch that will fill up even the hungriest of paddlers. Ashland, Oregon hotel and B&B pick up and drop off is included. We will make sure to have you back in time to grab some dinner and get to your play on time with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
If you are limited on time but still want to experience what whitewater rafting is all about Kokopelli River Guides also offers half day river trips. One of our favorite half day raft trips is on the Tree of Heaven section of the Klamath River. Floating this section of river is perfect for families with young kids and big kids at heart. The Klamath River is a warmer river which delights rafters who are in the mood to jump in and swim. This section of the Klamath River features Class 1-2+ rapids with the “bigger” rapids closing out the trip providing thrills right up to the very end. Wildlife is abundant on this section of the Klamath River. You may spot deer, bears, turtles, osprey, blue herons, and bald eagles.
Half and full day trips are available. A snack is provided on our half day trip and lunch is included on our full day trip.
Kokopelli River Guides also offers a more adventurous half day trip on the Class 2-4 “Nugget” section of the Rogue River near Gold Hill, Oregon. The Nugget trip will thrill the beginning rafter as well as seasoned paddlers. A snack is included.
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, a multi day river trip down the Wild and Scenic Lower Klamath River in Northern California is the answer.
Spend 2-5 days rafting and inflatable kayaking through the “Land of Bigfoot” outside of Happy Camp, California. Charge through rapids with names like Rattlesnake, Devil’s Toenail, and Dragon’s Tooth. Spend a few days playing and floating in the water, hike up to the picturesque Ukonom Falls, and camp on soft, sandy beaches. Dine on scrumptious meals prepared by our chefs in training, also known as river guides. Our Lower Klamath river trips are a great way to spend a few days relaxing and experiencing the great outdoors with your family and friends. A 3 day trip is our most popular!
All rafting equipment is provided on our Lower Klamath overnight trips. All meals from lunch the first day through lunch the last day are provided. Camping equipment is available if needed.
If you have been rafting before and want to try something new, an inflatable kayaking trip is your ticket to whitewater adventure!
Inflatable kayaking is the best way to experience the river up close and personal! Paddle through Class 2-2+ rapids with excitement building around every turn. Learn to paddle your own kayak with instruction from our expert guides. Inflatable kayaks are the ultimate crafts for an exhilarating day of paddling on the river. No experience is needed and our guides will give you a safety briefing and instruct you throughout the trip. They will stay close by in their own kayak to help you get safely down the river.
Half day and full day IK trips are available. Have a group that everyone doesn’t want to kayak? Rafts are available to guide them down the river.
