Today Mt. Ashland Ski Resort announced that they have re-opened the mountain to skiers and snowboarders (as of 10:00 a.m. this morning). After opening in early December, Southern Oregon experienced an extremely dry and extended weather pattern, which forced the closure of Mt. Ashland for weeks. Today the mountain has announced that the recent winter storm has brought in over 12 inches of fresh snow to the base. With a continuing storm pattern throughout the next week, the mountain is hopeful to pick up additional snow to add to their base.
