Two days ago some of the Indigo Creek Outfitters staff got out to explore the Rogue River upstream of Lost Creek Reservoir. The North Fork of the Rogue is stunningly beautiful and features technical and steep whitewater. They took their smallest boats (10′ and 12′ rafta) and put in at a popular scenic overlook known as “Natural Bridge”. Here, the river literally goes underground through old lava tubes. Launching just downstream of this feature, the crew enjoyed a wild and remote float, taking out at Woodruff Bridge roughly five miles downstream. Here’s a video they put together from their trip. It shows a section of the Rogue not commonly seen except by a handful of kayakers.
