The Siskiyou Mountain Club volunteers give their time, sweat and blisters to keep trails in the Siskiyou backcountry open and safe for hikers. Attend this event, slated for May 5th, to recognize their commitment and to learn more about SMC’s goals and projects for 2012.

When: Saturday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m.
Where: Meese Art Auditorium, Southern Oregon University, 1250 SE Siskiyou Blvd, Ashland, OR

  • 6:00 p.m. – appetizers, beverages, silent auction
  • 7:00 p.m. – virtual tour through the Trans-Kalmiopsis Route, hear from SMC volunteers, awards, auction winners
  • 8:00 p.m. – coffee, sweets, mingle

Things kick off at 6:00 p.m. with appetizers, beverages and a silent auction that will include river trips, framed pictures of Siskiyou backcountry, outdoor gear and more. Then we’ll go for a virtual tour through our stomping grounds, hand out a couple of awards and announce auction winners.

Want to stay and mingle? We’ll have coffee and sweets ready at 8:00 p.m.

This is a great chance to support SMC Volunteers and learn more about our work in southwest Oregon’s Wilderness Areas.
